Kanga Cricket Program for Juniors
(under 13's)

Surrey United Cricket Club is proud to announce their Kanga Cricket Program for Under 13's commencing April 06, 2017. Kanga Cricket is a fast and simple introduction to the game of cricket for children, with a high emphasis placed on fun. Matches played on Saturday mornings in Surrey from 9:00-11:00 am. Drills/practice conducted on Thursday evenings from 6:00-7:00m pm at the West Newton Ground located at 5999 129th Street in Surrey.

Coaching

Surrey United Cricket Club is in process of retaining coaching and mentoring services of Gagandeep Singh. Mr. Singh is currently Cricket BC’s Senior Team Coach and Cricket Canada's National Selector. Mr. Singh is an international professional cricket player, who has represented India in test cricket and played IPL cricket. Mr. Singh played first class cricket in India for over 11 years and took 266 wickets in 66 first class matches.

Key Achievements

  • Winning Best Bowler Award in Domestic Cricket in India for 3 consecutive years 2003-2005.
  • Represented India in test cricket in 2004-2005.
  • Played for Kings XI Punjab in the IPL 2008-2009.
  • Played for the Air India cricket team from 2001-2010.
  • Highest wicket taker in the Staffordshire League in 2006.
  • Taking 10 wickets in one match against Stafford Cricket Club in 2006
  • Coaching junior cricketers (U15) who have gone onto play for Staffordshire County.
  • Coaching an under 15 cricketer, who has gone onto to play for Durham County.
  • Coaching various junior county players from Warwickshire and Worcestershire.
  • Short term assistant in Coaching the Punjab (First Class Team) in India 2013.
